すごくとりあえずな感じですが。。。
Spring（http://www.springframework.org/）と、GWTを連携させたサンプルを作成してみました。
Springとの連携にはGWT Server LibraryのGWTHandlerというものを使っています。
1. 簡単に動作を確認する場合
1-1)WARの配置
http://www.grandnature.net/gwt/files/SpringTinyExamples.warをダウンロードし、tomcatなどの適当なアプリサーバーにデプロイメントする。
1-2) DB起動
取り込んだWARの、SpringTinyExamples\dbフォルダにあるserver.batを起動
1-3) 動作確認
tomcatを起動し、ブラウザからhttp://localhost:8080/SpringTinyExamples/www/com.mamezou.gwt.GwtSpringExample/GwtSpringExample.htmlを実行
↓
IDに"1", Passwordに"gwt"と入力し、loginを押すと、"Welcome Mr./Ms. Bruce Johnson"と表示される。
2. eclipseに取り込んで動作を確認する場合（Tomcat Plugin使用）
2-1) GWT本体の配置
http://google-web-toolkit.googlecode.com/files/gwt-windows-1.3.1.zipをダウンロード＆展開し、C:\GWT\gwt-windows-1.3.1に置く
2-2) tomcatプロジェクトの取り込み
http://www.grandnature.net/gwt/files/SpringTinyExamples.zipをダウンロード＆展開し、eclipseにインポート（tomcat Pluginで動作することを想定しています。）
Tomcat Pluginを適切に設定（tomcat5.5系で確認。）
2-3) DB起動
取り込んだプロジェクトの、SpringTinyExamples\dbフォルダにあるserver.batを起動
2-4) 動作確認
eclipseからtomcatを起動し、ブラウザからhttp://localhost:8080/SpringTinyExamples/www/com.mamezou.gwt.GwtSpringExample/GwtSpringExample.htmlを実行
